koala
Meaning
A tree-dwelling marsupial of eastern Australia with grey fur, round furry ears and a large nose, which feeds on eucalyptus leaves. It is not a bear, despite the common name "koala bear".

We spotted a koala asleep in the fork of a gum tree.
Origin
From Dharug, the language of the Sydney region.
